Bangladeshis sank in Mediterranean: 3 traffickers arrested

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three members of the trafficking unit suspected to be involved in the killing of Bangladeshi nationals in the Mediterranean Sea recently when illegally sent to Europe.

They were arrested from different areas of the capital on Thursday (May 16th). However, the RAB did not reveal the name of the arrested.

Details will be given at the press briefing at the Karwan Bazar RAB Media Center on Friday (May 17th).

ASP Mizanur Rahman, senior assistant director of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Legal and Media Wing, told BreakingNews that many Bangladeshi people have been killed in the sailing boat in the Mediterranean recently. Three members of the gang involved in the trafficking were arrested.

It is to be noted that more than 60 people were killed in the sank ship, which recently relocated to the Gulf of Tunisia on the coast of Tunisia. Most of the victims are Bangladeshi. Many are still missing.
