Mercantile Bank VC dies of coronavirus

Mercantile Bank Limited Vice Chairman Mohammad Selim died of coronavirus at a city hospital on Friday afternoon.

The bank's Public Relations Department chief M Abdul Hamid Sohag confirmed the media about the matter.

He said Mohammad Selim breathed his last around 2 pm at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital.

Anwar Khan Modern Hospital Director (Admin) Dr Ehteshamul Haque also confirmed the matter.

M Selim was also the Chairman of Synthia Securities Ltd, Bangladesh Shop Owners Association, and Metropolitan Education promoters Ltd.

Besides, he was the life member of Greater Faridpur Kalyan Samity, Trustree, and member of Shariatpur Shikkha Kalyan Trust.
