All educational institutions across the country have been closed since March 16 due to the global epidemic COVID-19. Owing to this situation, it is not possible to take the PEC examination of the fifth-grader, according to the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE).
DPE is considering to provide pass certificates to the students without taking PEC exams this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the certificate will not have a grade or GPA number.
Although the situation is not normal, the school has been officially announced to open.
If it is not possible to open the educational institutions by next November, fifth graders will be given pass candidates.
However, GPA or grade point will not mention in these certificates. With that, students will be able to get admission into Class-VI.
Director-General of DPE Fasiullah has confirmed the matter to the media.
He said if the coronavirus situation does not become normal, all the registered fifth class students will be given pass certificates.
