Maritime ports asked to keep hoisted signal 3

Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as deep convection is taking place over the North Bay and adjoining areas on Sunday.

The Met Office, in a bulletin, said that under the influence of strong monsoon, squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay, and the adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh.

All fishing boats and trawlers over the North Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice. They have also been advised not to venture into the deep sea.
