Trump for delaying presidential election

US President Donald Trump on Thursday apparently pushed a fight against the proposed ‘mail-in-voting’ system and unprecedentedly floated a ‘delay’ to the presidential election scheduled for November.

He feared that if the mail-in-voting system is used, it will be the most inaccurate and fraudulent election in the history of the USA.

"With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history,” he tweeted.

Trump suggested waiting for the situation when people can cast their votes properly, securly and safely.

“It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???,” he wrote.

The date of the presidential election is fixed by the Congress. Besides, there is a constitutional obligation for the newly-elected president to take up the position on January 20.
