Wife victim of dengue, Notice to compensate Mayor Rs 50 lakh

Wife victim of dengue, a Supreme Court lawyer has sent a notice of compensation of Tk 50 lakh to the mayor and chief executive officer of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).

His complaint - his wife was attacked by dengue fever due to the failure of City Corporation to control Adis mosquito in her area.

Tanzim al-Islam, the lawyer, told to pay compensation within 7 days.

In the next 3 days, Khilgaon ward No. 1, where he and his family live, request mayor and executive officer to take effective measures to control the mosquito.

Tanjim said, on legal notice that his wife had been infected with dengue fever on June 29. He is being treated for five days in the hospital but he is still sick.

The corporation authorities have completely failed to control the mosquito, Tanzim said in the notice, that is why the corporation should take responsibility for his wife's illness.

Tanzim told the media that if the corporation fails to pay him compensation and Adis mosquito control within seven days, then he will appeal to the High Court.
