Thirteen more people have died from the Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 8,298 in the country.
Another 396 coronavirus patients are found in 24 hours, raising the total number of infections to 5,41,434.
A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) made the disclosure on Tuesday afternoon.
Health authorities reported another 751 people recovered from the disease in a day, rising the total number of recoveries to 4,88,621.
Meanwhile, 262,984 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus around the world while 6,638 died from the pandemic in the last 24 hours. The United States has registered the highest number of deaths from the pandemic and infections during the period.
The first Covid-19 positive cases were reported in the country on March 8 and the first death on March 18.
