2 more die of dengue in Dhaka and Jessore

Two more people have died of dengue fever in the Capital of Dhaka and Jessore.

Bachchu Mia, inspector of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police said, "Rubaiya Akhter, 11, daughter of Abdur Rashid, of Koyra village in Shibalaya upazila of Manikganj, died around 9 pm on Friday at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) while undergoing treatment at the ICU.

anader person in Chowgachha upazila, Jessore Monir Abdul Wadud, 45, a resident of Swarupdah union in the upazila, died in Jessore Medical College Hospital, on Saturday (September-7) around 10 am.

Swarupdah union parishad Chairman Sheikh Anwar Hossain said the media Wadud was admitted to Chowgachha Upazila Health Complex with dengue on August 24 when doctors found his platelet level below 26,000 and referred him to Dhaka.

He was then taken to Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital and discharged from the hospital after several days. Then he came back home but fell sick again and was taken to Dhaka for the second time, he added.
