Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will leave Dhaka today afternoon for New York via Dubai for an eight-day official visit to attend the UN’s 74th General Assembly.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for Abu Dhabi on Friday with the Prime Minister and her entourage. The flight will depart at Abu Dhabi International Airport at 6:30 pm (local time).
A bilateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held on September 24. The Prime Minister will address the UNGA’s 74th Annual Meeting on September 27 and she will meet UN Secretary-General António Guterres on September 28.
The Prime Minister will make her way to New York on a flight from Etihad Airways at 10:30 am (local time) on September 22, following a one-day stay in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, the Prime Minister will arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York at 4:25 pm local time. Bangladesh Ambassador to the United States Mohammed Ziauddin and Bangladesh Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Masud bin Momen will welcome the Prime Minister at the airport.
On September 23, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will co-chair the Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and hold a high-level multilateral panel meeting on Universal Health Coverage.
In addition, the Prime Minister is expected to highlight Bangladesh’s position in the full session of the High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage.
