Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has expelled 11 members of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology unit for their involvement in Abrar Fahad murder.
The decision was taken as the fact findings committee of BCL found their involvement in Abrar’s murder, said a press release signed by the acting president and general secretary of central BCL on Monday.
The expelled leaders are—general secretary Mahedi Hasan Russel, vice-president Muhtasim Fuad, organising secretary Mehedi Hasan Robin, information and technology affairs secretary Anik Sarkar, literature affairs secretary Moniruzzaman Monir, deputy social welfare secretary Efti Mosharraf Sokal, deputy office secretary Mujtoa Rafid, sports secretary Meftahul Islam Jiyon, member Muntasir Al Jemi, member Ehtasemul Rabbi Tanim, and member Md Mujahidur Rahman.
On Monday, BCL formed a two-member probe body to look into the involvement of any member of their organisation in Abrar’s killing. The body was asked to submit their report within 24 hours.
