3 killed as bus hits with tree in Faridpur

At leas Three people including a woman have been killed as a bus hit a tree by losing its control in Faridpur. 

The accident took place on Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Nagarkanda area of ​​Nagarkanda Upazila on Monday night. 

The identity of two deceased have been found, they are- Firoza Begum and Liton Sheikh of Bagerhat district. 

A Dhaka-bound Golden Line bus from Bagerhat was hit a tree beside the road after losing its control. Three people were killed. At least 20 people were injured in the incident, said Atiar Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station.

Three fire service units from Nagarkanda and Muksudpur upazila along with the Vanga worked to rescue the injured. Two of them died on the spot while another one died on the way to the hospital. The injured were admitted to Vanga and Muksudpur Upazila Health Center, said Sojibur Rahman, in-charge of the Bhanga Fire Service.
