Gayebana janaza held at DU

Md Anik reporter of Breakingnews told that Gayebana janaza was held and coffin procession brought on the Dhaka University (DU) campus on Tuesday protesting death of BUET student Abrar Fahad's beating.

He said that Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) social service secretary Md Aktar Hossain led the gayebana janaza at the foot of the Raju memorial sculpture on the campus.

He also said that a large procession of students along with symbolic coffin entered BUET through paraded DU VC Chattar, and Palashi.

After the gayebana janaza, DUCSU VP Nur told that BUET's brilliant student Abrar Fahad has been murdered for his criticism about Bangladesh's recent deal with India, and Abrar was killed for criticizing anti-state deal with India. Fahad's blood stained anti-state agreement will have to revise.

On the other hand, appearing before the students after around 38 hours of the killing of Abrar Fahad, BUET Vice Chancellor Dr Saiful Islam assured that he had accepted in principle all their demands.

VC Dr Saiful Islam told that I agree with your (students') demands. We've accepted in principle all of yours' demands.

Anik told that replying to another question over his delayed appearance, VC Saiful Islam told, I have been keeping contact with the education minister and the deputy minister for the entire day, holding meetings to solve the problems.

When the students wanted to know particularly which demands have accepted, the VC avoided giving any answer, Anik said.
