Awami League president and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday vows to ensure the judgment on the murder of BUET student Abrar Fahad through fair investigation.
She also said not only as of the head of the government she would judge the brutal murder as a mother also.
Sheikh Hasina came up with this pledge to central leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Tuesday night.
The acting president and general secretary along with other members of Bangldesh Chhatra League’s central committee made a courtesy call to Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital at night.
BCL leaders who met prime minister tonight said that Sheikh Hasina asked them to remain alert so that evil politicians cannot capitalise Abara's assassination to fulfill their ill motives.
Expressing anger over the killing of Fahad, the premier commented that VC Prof Dr Saiful Islam should be on the spot immediately after hearing the news as he is the guardian of BUET.
The BCL leaders said the AL chief has suggested the BCL to ‘keep silent’ over BUET’s ongoing movement so that none can stain the movement with political colour.
Sheikh Hasina said BCL leaders that the government has done everything in this gruesome killing. Accused were detained immediately, involved BCL leaders were expelled. Now the trial will go on as per law through fair investigation.
The premier reiterated that none will be speared as she started nabbing corrupts and culprits, said BCL leaders.
