2 ‘drug peddlers’ killed in Cox’s Bazar ‘gunfight’

Two suspected Yaba dealers were killed in a reported gunfight with members of Bangladesh Police in Cox’s Bazar’s Teknaf Upazila late Wednesday.

The gunfight took place at Hoaikong area of Teknaf at around 11:45 pm on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Jiabul Haque alias Prokash Babul (30) son of Samsul Alam, and Ajimullah Bahar (46) son of Kefayet Ullah.

Police claimed that four members of their force also injured in the gunfight.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf Model Police Station Prodip Kumar Das confirmed the news.
