The navy informed to media that three bodies of sailors were recovered, and 12 people rescued alive from the Bay of Bengal near St Maitin’s Island in Cox’s Bazar.
The trawler, FB Meen Sndhani, sank after being hit by a merchant vessel after Monday night with 24 crew members, including the captain and the chief engineer, on the board.
The casualties look place as a ship hit a fishing trawler in the sea. 12 sailors have been rescued alive with the help of the navy and local fisherman on Wednesday.
Three bodies were pulled until on Wednesday evening and the navy was continuing the search and rescue operations for the nine other according to media report.
