Flooding drought in 10 districts including Sunamganj

Due to heavy rains and uprising, flood situation has severely deteriorated across the country. Meanwhile, about 1.35 million families of 70 unions of Sunamganj have been affected by water disputes. 

The flood situation has deteriorated in South Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Moulvibazar, Jamalpur, Gaibandha, Bogra, Kurigram, Rangpur, Nilphamari and Habiganj districts.

Until yesterday on Sunday, news of the closure of 22 educational institutions in Netrokona's Kalmakanda 157, Rangpur 100, Bogra 39 and Gaibandha. And at least 10 kilometers of Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway are submerged.

Sunamganj District Relief and Rehabilitation Officer Faridul Haque told media. In the first phase, 6 lakhs taka, In the second phase, on Sunday ( July 14) 10 lakh taka, 300 metric-tons of rice and 4 thousand packets were supplied dry food.

Around one week of hill showing and flooding, the water of Surma flows over 79 centimeters of danger and water is growing in most rivers of the country including Padma, Meghna, Jamuna, Teesta, Brahmaputra, Dharla, Surma, Kushiyara, Manu and Khoya.
