In the face of severe obstruction and resistance to the leaders and activists, Jatiya Party has decided to burial the former president and party chairman Hussein Muhammad Ershad in his village of Rangpur.
Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition's opposition has left for ‘Pallinibash’.
Party's acting chairman Ghulam Mohammad (GM) Quader announced this in protest at the barricades of the activists after the Janaza.
The former president died at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Sunday.
Following his death, the party’s Rangpur unit leaders demanded that Ershad be buried either in Rangpur or beside the mausoleum of three leaders at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.
On Monday, Jatiya Party decided to bury Ershad at Dhaka’s Army Graveyard after asr prayers.
Earlier in the morning, his body was taken to Rangpur for fourth namaz-e-janaza.
