A 1000-bed isolation center is being built at the DNCC Market in Mohakhali in the capital to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Bangladesh Army is under the overall supervision of the facility. The specialized hospital with ICU is being built on the sixth floor of the market, under the Ministry of Health, according to media reports.
The Health Minister said that all the necessary arrangements have been taken for the isolation center and hospital. Atiqul Islam, mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), is expected to start the service in the second week of July.
The construction of the isolation center at the DNCC market has reportedly been progressed a lot.
The shops here are converted into cabins and the open spaces are made as wards
