BNP leader Rafiqul Islam Miah moved to ICU again

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee member Barrister Rafiqul Islam Miah has been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) again as he developed breathing complications.

He is now in a very critical condition, as he was put on a ventilator on Monday night.

BNP chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed this information to media on Tuesday.

The BNP leader has been undergoing treatment at Ibn Sina Hospital at Dhanmondi under the supervision of neurologist Prof Dr Abdul Hayee since September 8.

Sayrul Kabir Khan, BNP chairperson’s media wing member, said Rafiqul Islam was taken to a cabin on Sunday morning from the ICU after his condition improved.

However, he was taken to the ICU again on Monday after he developed breathing complications, he said.
