BNP did not get permission, police-activists face-to-face

BNP did not get permission for the public meeting. The BNP wanted to hold a pre-planned rally to protest the killing of BUET student Abara Fahad, cancel the deal with India, and demand the unconditional release of imprisoned BNP chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

There has been tension in the area around Nayapalton, surrounded by public gatherings. Large number of police personnel are in Nayapaltan. There is also a widespread presence of law and order around Nayapalton. Police and leaders are now in the face.

Although a public gathering is expected to take place on Saturday (October 12) at 1.00 pm, a large number of activists have come out in front of the party's central office in Nayapaltan to protest different slogans.

The BNP delegation went to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) office to seek permission for the rally in the morning. The BNP delegation went to the DMP office on Saturday (October 12) morning. But the delegation said they were not allowed to rally. Yet they keep trying until the end.
