Criticizing Prime Minister’s remark that demonstrators of Jahangirnagar University have to either prove allegations or face punishment, BNP's senior joint secretary general advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said she clearly stuck up for the corrupts over the issue.
He was saying this while addressing a press conference at BNP’s central office in the capital's Naya Paltan area on Friday (November 8) morning.
He said, "You have heard that the Prime Minister of the Midnight Government, Sheikh Hasina, yesterday threatened students who are protesting - Those who bring corruption allegations against the Vice-Chancellor of the university must prove that allegation, it not prove it. If can't prove, then the accused will be punished."
Rizvi said, "Are the law and administration only to wipe out the opposition and sustain the illegal government?"
Regarding the ongoing purification operation, Rizvi said, "No one has been arrested for mentioning in the purification operation. This operation, People are running a campaign to hide people's eyes.”
He demanded immediate termination of all treaties against the country's interests.
