Allah Almighty is most Merciful and Forgiving. He loves to forgive. He also loves those who forgive others.
In the Holy Quran Allah says, "Those who spend good and bad times and control anger and forgive people. And Allah loves the virtuous. (Surah Al-Imran, Verse:134)
At different stages of life, people find get hart by others' harsh words. As a result, the dispute takes place between each other. And it may surge to a bloody clash.
Allah says in the Holy Quran, "If you reveal something good or hide it or forgive evil, then Allah is Forgiving, Powerful." (Sura Nisa, Verse: 1)
Allah will give a special reward to the forgiver. Those who solve the dispute among people will also receive a reward from Allah.
Allah says, "And evil is the reward of evil. Then whoever forgives and settles disputes, his reward is with Allah. Surely Allah does not love the unjust. ' (Surah Shura, Verse: 40)
Forgiveness does not diminish one's dignity. On the contrary, forgiveness increases the dignity of the forgiving person many times.
Abu Huraira (RA) quoted from the Prophet (peace be upon him), that, doing charity does not result in loss of wealth. Whosoever forgives, Allah will increase his dignity. And whoever humbles himself for the sake of Allah, He increases his dignity. (Muslim, Hadith: 2588)
When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) sent Mu'az (RA) and Musa (RA) to Yemen and ordered, “Be gentle to people, do not be harsh, give them the good news and do not cause hatred. Be united and not separated." (Bukhari, Hadith: 3038)
