BCB tries to appoint a quality coach: Nazmul

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has bid farewell to head coach Steve Rhodes after the Tigers failed to play in the World Cup 2019 as expected. Bowling coach Courtney Walls, spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi and
physio Thilan Chandramohan have not been extended. Team manager Khaled Mahmood has sent Sujan as acting coach to Sri Lanka.

Board chief Nazmul Hasan Papan spoke to reporters on Wednesday (July 24) after the ICC board meeting in London after the World Cup.

He said, ‘‘the board did not want to rush to appoint a coach. We are in the process of coaching. Fast bowling coach, physio has a lot to offer.’’

Papon said, ''This time we have a cold head and listen to the coach. We do not want to hire coaches because of familiar faces or previous experience.''
